China Cement Industry

In recent years, China's Cement Industry enjoys a fast development with continuous increase on
cement consumption. The annual cement output sustained the top of the world for many years.
--In 2005, China's cement output hit 10.64 billion tons with an increase rate of 9.69%, while
the export volume reached 11,372,500 tons with an increase rate of 89% compared to 2004.
The total industrial production value of China's cement industry amounted to 2683.84 billion
yuan and the sales income amounted to 2608.35 billion yuan.
--During the 11th Five Year Plan (from 2006 to 2010), the output of China's cement industry keeps an increase at the rate of 8%.
--The output of China's cement industry will reach 14-15 millions tons by 2010 after 10 years
continuous and fast growth. Thus, the proportion to the NSP will rise to over 70%. The NSP
technology & equipment, energy consumption, environment protection and efficiency of
resource using will reach the level of middle-developed country. The demand of cement will
be a peak in 2018. Until the 2020, industrial modernization will be realized in China's cement
industry and its international competitive ability will be stronger and stronger. |
Shanghai Cement Industry

The Yangtze cement industry, the biggest and the most active city cement market, is deemed as the vane of China's cement market. Shanghai's cement market has become the target market of many enterprises due to its huge demand.
--The annual cement consumption of Shanghai in 2005 hit 25,480,000 tons. From January to August of 2006, the cement consumption hit 16,750,000 tons (Shanghai produced and saled 6,200,000 tons, and the all-round provinces saled 10,550,000 tons in Shanghai market).
--It is estimated that the cement consumption of Shanghai in 2007 will be at a stable increase level of 25,000,000 tons which is close to the past two years. During the 11th Five Year Plan
(from 2006 to 2010), the cement consumption of Shanghai will not be reduced. |
